Abstract

This article examines the development of stylistic differentiation issues in Uzbek linguistics, the directions of studying functional styles, and the problems of investigating the stylistic characteristics of linguistic units. It also analyzes the stylistic views of scholars such as V.Vinogradov, G. Vinokur, and A. Potebnya, as well as the process of establishing Uzbek stylistics as an independent discipline. The paper discusses the identification of functional styles in the Uzbek language, the stylistic properties of grammatical and lexical units, and theoretical problems related to speech culture.
