Abstract

Currently, there is a need to develop and systematize the theoretical foundations of linguistic expertise. Accordingly, this article focuses on its emergence, historical development, distinctive characteristics, and present-day significance. Linguistic expertise represents new material for applied linguistics, and its crucial aspects have not yet been sufficiently studied. This, in turn, necessitates serious attention to the essence of this new field that has emerged at the intersection of other sciences.
