The cognitive-semantic and psycholinguistic aspects of this study analyze the encoding of thought through linguistic units, the full projection of thought into the listener's consciousness, and the relationship between language and speech, language and thought. Of practical significance are the analysis of the mechanism of speech, the worldview, the processes of reflecting information about existence in linguistic consciousness, the assimilation of word meaning and the retention of concepts in linguistic memory, the perception of objects and event signs, the semantic development of lexemes, and the lexical clarification of the relationship between form and content in understanding meaning based on a linguacognitive approach.
This article analyzes lexical and mental homonyms from a linguacognitive perspective. The results of experiments conducted on the comprehension and memorization of homonyms involving students are presented.
