Abstract

The article analyzes the use of tashbihi kinoyat – a form of ironic simile – in
the poetic works of Atoyi. The poet skillfully employs the art of simile in an ironic manner,
enriching figurative imagery with subtle sarcasm. Through this stylistic device, Atoyi presents
real-life events, human behavior, and social issues not directly, but indirectly and humorously.
The article explores the poetic function and aesthetic impact of tashbihi kinoyat in his poetry,
highlighting both its traditional and individual features. It also examines Atoyi's mastery in
incorporating elements of folk dialects and folklore into his use of ironic similes.
