O‘ZBEK FOLKLORI NAMUNALARINING TARIXIY YOZMA MANBALARDAGI IFODASI

Abstract

This article analyzes the reflection of Uzbek folklore in historical written
sources. The emergence of Uzbek folklore has a unique history. Examples of different folklore
genres can be found in historical written sources that have come down to us. They indicate that
the role of folkloric works in the life of past ancestors is incomparable. On this topic, Mahmud
Koshgari's “Devonu lexicotit turk” serves as a rich source. The article analyzes some of the
proverbs in “Devon”.
