Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of primary and supporting
characters in the Goʻroʻgʻli epic cycle. It begins by exploring the mythic, ritual, and psychological
dimensions of the epic hero Goʻroʻgʻli. Next, the dramatic roles of antagonists, allies, and
romantic figures are examined, including their conflicts and resolution strategies. Character
interactions are visualized through semantic mapping, and mythic motifs and archetypes are
analyzed in both local and universal contexts. The national and socio-cultural setting is discussed,
alongside innovative contemporary approaches (feminist, postcolonial, psychoanalytic). The
findings aim to deepen understanding of the epics using modern methodologies and reinforce their
significance in collective memory.
