This article discusses the issues of teaching phonomorphology in the general
education system, and ways to effectively use written speech sources in this regard. It is argued
that the manifestation of phonomorphological units in written speech and their identification and
analysis are important for developing students' linguistic competence. Also, based on practical
examples, methodological aspects of organizing phonomorphological analysis in the lesson
process are considered. Phonomorphology is addressed not only practically, but also
