Аннотация

The research of place names of Turkic origin on the territory of Armenia has
both scientific and political importance. The meanings of the words in the Turkish toponym system
of the territories of Armenia cover various semantic fields. The Turkish-Polish vocabulary of the
region found its place in the toponymy of the region. It is important to correctly explain and clarify
Polish words during language research. The success of the research depends on trained
researchers who understand the onomastic phenomenon and processes correctly. Place names of
Turkish origin, formed on the territory of Armenia, did not appear by chance, but were formed in
a way specific to Turkish place names. The historical-linguistic analysis of place names registered
on the territory of Armenia reveals the historical facts and revives the Turkish place names that
were victims of politics. The research shows that the place names of Turkish origin are older in
this region.
