Аннотация

This study examines the place of the classical literary tradition in the poems
of the Azerbaijani poet Aliağa Vahid and its relationship with contemporary poetic explorations.
Aliağa Vahid is an important artist who carried the classical Eastern poetic tradition into the
modern era, especially with his poems in the ghazal genre. The influence of the Fuzuli school is
clearly seen in his works; the subtlety of language, harmony, use of metaphor, and lyrical forms
of expression reflect the aesthetics of classical poetry. However, Vahid's poems not only preserve
the traditional structure but also incorporate contemporary sensibilities. The poet combines the
classical form with modern content by developing new forms of expression for individual emotions,
social observations, and human psychology. In this respect, his poetry can be considered a
synthesis of both classical and modern poetic thought. In this study, the poet's linguistic features,
imagery system, and stylistic characteristics are analyzed to reveal his role in the transition
process from classical tradition to contemporary poetry. In conclusion, Aliağa Vahid's poems are
considered a continuation of the classical poetic heritage in Azerbaijani literature and a bridge
opening to the understanding of modern poetry
