This thesis scientifically and theoretically analyzes the role of folklore in the
formation and development of Uzbek literature. Folklore is interpreted as an important artistic
source reflecting the historical memory, spiritual values, and aesthetic thinking of the people.
The study also reveals the manifestation of folk images, symbols, and elements of national
consciousness in modern Uzbek literature through new aesthetic interpretations. Furthermore,
the thesis substantiates the significance of the artistic continuity between folklore, classical
literature, and contemporary literature in preserving national identity and ensuring the
continuity of spiritual heritage
