Abstract

This article analyzes the folk lexicon of melon cultivation in the dialect
of the Gurlen district of the Khorezm region from a linguistic perspective. The study sheds
light on the dialectal characteristics of words and phrases related to melon crops, their
phonetic, lexical and semantic aspects. It also examines the role of this lexicon in the
farming experience of the local population and the traditional agricultural culture. The
article aims to identify the specific linguistic units of the Gurlen dialect and to classify them
scientifically
