Abstract

This article analyzes the mythological images reflected in “Devonu
lugʻotit turk” and their transformation in folklore. The study identifies cosmogenic, cultic,
and demonological types of images and examines their lexical-semantic features. It also
highlights the close connection of these images with oral creative traditions and explores
how they have been preserved in later periods. The analysis reveals that some mythological
images have undergone semantic changes, while others have remained relatively stable
and have been preserved in folklore
