Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the linguistic nature and ethnocultural
determination of proverbs and idioms, which are considered fundamental structural components
of the paremiological system. Paremias serve as the conceptual basis of a nation’s linguistic
worldview and represent the verbal manifestation of national culture in language. Through a
comparative-typological analysis of the paremiological funds of the cognate Uzbek and Turkish
languages, the article illuminates the transformation of common historical, cultural, and
ontological perspectives of these peoples. The research examines the structural-semantic
similarities and distinctive features of proverbs and idioms within a comparative framework. The
comparative analysis, conducted on the material of both languages, serves to reveal specific
linguistic patterns, and the findings are synthesized into theoretical conclusions
