Abstract

This article investigates the artistic-aesthetic, psychological, and
compositional functions of battle descriptions based on unique manuscript materials of the
Uzbek heroic epic, specifically the «Kholdorkhon» and «Gorogly» series. The study
demonstrates through systematic analysis and precise textual citations that battle scenes
are not merely physical clashes or external displays of heroism. Instead, they serve as a
leading artistic medium designed to reveal the inner psychology of the characters , depict
social relationships between the army and rulers , balance the narrative environment from
a lyrical-compensatory perspective , and ensure overall plot dynamics
