This article examines the "Sample Notebook of Uzbek Literature" and "Tazkira-i Kayyumi," which represent the culmination of Polatjon Kayyumi's long-term scientific research. These works are invaluable sources for understanding the history of the Kokand Khanate and the literary environment of Kokand. Additionally, they provide comprehensive insights into nearly all periods of Uzbek classical literature, including both professional and amateur poets active during those times. Alisher Navoi, as a central figure, is accorded special respect in the Tazkira. The article further analyzes the portrayal of Navoi’s life and work within the context of the Tazkira and explores the tazkiranavis' perspectives on his literary contributions
