This article analyzes the linguistic and semantic features of words denoting behavior in the epic “Qutadgu bilig” an encyclopedic masterpiece by Yusuf Khas Hajib from the eleventh century. The study examines the role and significance of words used to express positive (such as justice, wisdom, and generosity) and negative (ignorance, envy, lying) human characteristics in “Qutadgu bilig”. Additionally, it investigates how these lexical units contribute to revealing the didactic and moral aspects of the epic. The article identifies the unique features of expressing behavioral concepts in “Qutadgu bilig” explores the semantic field of these words, and analyzes the contexts in which they are used.
