ОПИСАНИЕ В “БАБУР-НАМЕ”

Abstract

Baburnama is not merely a memoir recording political and military events within Turkish-Islamic historiography; it is a unique work that distinguishes itself from the classical chronicle tradition with its detailed descriptive language, subject-centered narrative, and psychological depth. This study aims to examine the descriptive language used in Baburnama and to reveal the function of description within historical narrative. The work, analyzed using qualitative text analysis, has been examined in the context of geographical, social, and psychological descriptions. As a result of the examination, it has been concluded that Babur's descriptive language integrates historical facts with subjective experience, moving beyond objective record; in this respect, Baburnama constitutes an important example of early autobiographical historical narrative
